Removing a blot on the landscape

Clare investigates the old paving

Brooklands Park Estate has long been recognised for its beautiful pond and lawns which provide an exceptionally pleasant and peaceful environment for residents of all ages to enjoy.  However an unfinished concrete raised paving area has caused problems, an ugly relic dating back to the 1960's, which was sometimes used for outside drinking and became a focal point for anti-social behaviour.

Responding to request from the residents, Councillor Clare Morris has worked with the council to get this unsafe and unsightly paving removed and the area landscaped in keeping with its surroundings. Clare said "This is a small improvement that'll make a big difference in terms of the overall appearance and atmosphere of the Estate.  Residents rightly feel a sense of real pride here and I'll do everything I can to help keep it a lovely place to live."
