Anyone for tennis?

Clive and Council Leader Chris Roberts test out their serve

Clive Efford joined Council Leader Chris Roberts and young tennis players at the formal launch of the refurbished courts in Eltham Park South.

Clive says, “The new surfaces are fantastic. I live near the park and see these courts being used throughout the year. If we want people to participate in sport then we should strive to provide first class facilities like these.”

Clive was contacted about the poor state of the courts and approached the council to get them repaired. At a recent coffee morning that Clive held for constituents in the area several people asked about the future of the tennis courts. He also received letters and emails. £70,000 has now been spent laying new surfaces and providing new equipment.
