The Eltham Leisure Centre, the numbers speek for themselves

Weve seen the success ourselves, but now the numbers show the progress. Since the opening of the Eltham Leisure Centre, the new Centre has gone from strength to strength providing benefits for all of the local community, attracting the young and old to the services of the Library, Gym, Swimming Pool, Cafe, Council Services, Citizens Advice Bureau, Greenwich Community College and the Town Centre Managers Office.

Last Month I also informed you of the recent figures that the new centre attracted over 100,000 visitors in their first three months, and the number was rising with 40,000 in the last month alone.  If figures like these done prove what a success the centre has been so far than i don't know what else is.

But since the opening of the centre we have been running a poll on the site to see whether you are going to be using the Eltham Lesuire Centre, and the numbers truley do speak for themselves, as of 12.00pm 1st August 2008 we have recieved a total of 10,601 votes.

Will you be using the benefits of the new Eltham Leisure Centre?

Yes - I will use most of the facilities - 2170 votes - 20.47%

Yes - I will use any of the fitness facilities - 2094 votes - 19.75%

Yes - I will use the new library or cafe - 2128 votes - 20.07%

Yes -  I will be using the other facilities -  2078 votes - 19.60%

No - I will not be using the new centre - 2131 votes - 20.1%

These number don't lie, an astonishing 79.9% (8470 of the vote!) of you will and do use the new centre, the benefits of the centre are obvious to the local community, maybe now the other 20.1% of you should give it a try, your definitely missing out here.
