Clive Efford has welcomed the extension of the 132 bus route from Eltham Station to North Greenwich Station .
The 132 provides a direct route from Eltham to North Greenwich to allow local people to access the Odeon, shops and the O2 as well as the underground station. Clive has long campaigned for such a service. “It was taking too long to get North Greenwich, but this new service will improve access to the London Underground for commuters. It will also improve access for people who either work or want to find employment in Docklands, the 2012 development or the wider Thames Gateway area. It will also mean that people can get a bus to go out for an evening at the O2 or the Odeon and avoid driving,” he explained.
The 132 will follow the 286 route from Eltham station to the Sun in the Sands roundabout where it will travel via the Blackwall Tunnel approach non stop to Sainsburys’s, Odeon, Millennium Village and then to North Greenwich. On the return journey it will return via the same route to Sun in the Sands and then via Shooters Hill Road Kidbrooke Park Road from where it will again follow the 286 route. Clive has contacted London Buses to ask them to monitor the route for delays and to consider using the Rochester Way Relief Road all the way to the Rochester Way on the return journey.
