Clive Welcomes Post Office Card Account Contract

Post Office

Clive Efford has welcomed news that the government has decided to award a new contract for the continuation of Post Office Card Account directly to the Post Office.

Clive had written to the Prime Minister earlier in the year asking for the contract to be given to the Post Office and had signed early Day Motions in parliament calling for the move.

“This announcement is good news for our local post offices” Clive explained, “The card account is an important source of income and brings customers through the doors of post offices. My constituency has 5,430 card accounts and giving this contract to the Post Office means that our local sub-post offices can plan for the future with confidence”.

“I will continue to campaign hard on this issue on behalf of my constituents,” Clive added
