Notes taken on Clive's walkabout on Coldharbour on Monday 30th June 2008

The Coldharbour Neighbourhood Office The Mound
Police SNT will be based in the Mound office. Clive wants to explore the possibility of developing it as a community resource centre with local residents.

Verona Norris suggested themed days to staff Neighbourhood Office based on the Market Place idea.

The Crest
Resident dumping bags rather than using chutes: if they are identified council can issue notice which can result in a fine.

Dog mess in lift – this happens every morning. Can we check footage from the camera in the lift?

Recycling working well - but some people still abuse the system

Clive will bring this to attention of Cleansweep to see if residents can be written to regarding dumping rubbish, dog mess and recycling.

Internal decoration needs doing when resources are available

Empty flats – why are they left so long?

Windows in communal areas still not cleaned. Can residents be told when they will be cleaned?

Graffiti - back of chute door 1st floor should be removed

James Newman Court
The sheds have been condemned as unsafe and they will all have to be demolished. Residents have stated that some people need sheds.

Door closing on people’s scooters – can we introduce a delay to allow people to get through before door closes on them?

The hole in the wall of flat 14 is still not repaired.

Cupboard on ground floor near entrance - there is no light inside.

Dog Mess
Dog orders to stop dog mess. Clive would like to have a letter from the council explaining the new dog orders which he can circulate to residents.

The Mound
Water supply
- causing problems for caretakers due to access. This has been an ongoing problem.
- hole in netting on one of the properties – identified on previous walkabout still not resolved.
