Clive wants a new crossing at Blackwall to bring DLR to North Greenwich.
Local Labour councillor Clare Morris is supporting Clive Efford MP’s calls for the Mayor for London to tackle traffic congestion at the Blackwall Tunnel.
Clive wants the crossing to include the Docklands Light Railway. Clare backs Clive saying “I believe we need to expand public transport options for people in Greenwich to reduce pollution from congestion.”
A Third Crossing at Blackwall is part of the transport plans in this part of London, but has never been given priority.
“We need to reduce the number of car journeys but we also need to deal with the stationary traffic approaching the Blackwall Tunnel. This issue needs to be dealt with as a priority.” Explained Clive.
